GWM, Haval & Tank Throttle Controller: Cannon/Poer, Tank 300, H6, H9
Great Wall Motor vehicles are sold under different names depending on the country. Owners in Australia, the Gulf, South Africa and Latin America often can't tell whether a part will fit. This page lists the GWM, Haval and Tank models we have live throttle-controller pages for, with the name you might know them by and the plug each page lists.
Which model and generation do I have?

| Haval H9 | 2014 onwards | Ladder-frame seven-seat 4WD wagon. | 151 | Haval H9 |
Every live GWM, Haval and Tank page above lists plug 151. That's handy, but not a guarantee for every market or model year. Match your connector to the plug photo before you order.
Why owners fit one
Turbo engines paired with a cautious factory pedal map are common across the GWM range. The result is a pause off the line, then a rush once the turbo comes in. A Roar 4X4 throttle controller lets you change that pedal curve. Sport or Race brings the response forward, while Comfort or Economy smooths it out for gravel, sand or stop-start traffic. On the Tank 300 hybrids, it changes pedal mapping only. It doesn't change how the hybrid system or engine is tuned.
It doesn't add power, doesn't change the ECU tune, and can be switched to Off or unplugged at any time.
Buying overseas
- Gulf (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman): the Poer (as the Cannon is known there), Tank 300 and Tank 500 and the Haval SUVs are common. These are left-hand drive and can use different pedal parts, so send us a plug photo first.
- South Africa: the P-Series is the same ute family as the Cannon and Poer, but check the plug.
- NZ and South-East Asia: right-hand-drive models are generally closest to Australian spec.
Email plug photos to admin@roar4x4.com with your model, year and country. We ship tracked to New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the UAE, and international shipping is calculated at checkout.

FAQ
Is the GWM Poer the same as the Cannon?
They're the same ute family sold under different names. Specs vary by market, so match your pedal plug to the product page photo.
Does it work on the Tank 300 Hybrid?
The Tank 300 product page lists all engines, including the hybrid and plug-in hybrid. It changes pedal response only.
Why is there no Tank 500 or Cannon Alpha page?
We haven't published one yet. Email a plug photo and we'll check.
My H6 is the newest shape. Will it fit?
Our H6 page covers 2011 onwards with plug 151. Compare your plug with the photo before ordering.
Will it void my GWM warranty?
It doesn't modify the ECU and it unplugs, but warranty decisions are up to the manufacturer. Ask your dealer if you're unsure.
