Why Fit a Throttle Controller to Your Haval H8?

The Haval H8 uses electronic (drive-by-wire) throttle control, which builds a factory-programmed delay into the time between pressing the accelerator and the engine responding. This throttle lag is most noticeable when pulling away, merging, overtaking or driving in stop-start traffic.

The Roar 4X4 Throttle Controller changes how the pedal signal is sent, so the pedal feels more responsive. It does not add horsepower or torque; it removes the delay. Sport and Race modes give sharper response for everyday driving and overtaking, while Economy mode softens delivery for relaxed highway driving.

Frequently Asked Questions β€” Haval H8 Throttle Controller

How do I know plug type 151 is correct for my H8?

The factory fitment list shows plug type 151 for the Haval H8 (2013 onwards), all engines. Always compare your pedal connector with the plug picture above before installing. If you're unsure, contact our team with a photo of your plug.

Does it increase power or just throttle response?

It changes how quickly your H8's existing power is delivered. It does not increase horsepower or torque. It changes how quickly the pedal responds.

Will I notice a difference in everyday driving?

Yes. Most H8 owners notice the change straight away when pulling away from lights, merging and overtaking. Economy mode softens response for relaxed highway driving.

Is it compatible with aftermarket ECU tunes or chips?

Yes. The throttle controller works independently of ECU tunes, performance chips and exhaust upgrades.

What does Anti-Theft Mode do?

Anti-Theft Mode greatly reduces throttle input, making the vehicle very difficult to drive and adding a layer of security against unauthorised use.
