Ford Ranger
From the first PX1 to today's Next-Gen, the T6-era Ranger and its Everest wagon sibling all use an electronic accelerator pedal, and many drivers find it slow to wake up. A Roar 4X4 throttle controller sharpens (or softens) how that pedal responds. Use the table below to find the right controller in this collection for your Ranger or Everest, whether it was sold in Australia, NZ, Thailand or the Gulf.

Why a Ranger can feel flat off the mark
Ford calibrates the Ranger's pedal to be smooth and predictable, which is sensible for a vehicle sold in many markets. The trade-off is a dead patch at the top of the pedal. You notice it most pulling into a gap in traffic, starting on a hill with a trailer, or trying to keep a loaded Wildtrak moving on a soft beach track.
A throttle controller doesn't change the engine. The four-cylinder, bi-turbo or V6 makes the same power and torque as before, and the ECU tune is left alone. What changes is how much engine request you get for a given amount of pedal. Sport and Race modes bring that request in earlier. Economy and Comfort make it gentler, which some drivers like on rocky climbs or slippery tracks. Off mode returns standard pedal feel without unplugging anything.
Good to know before you buy
- Raptor and special editions: don't assume a page covers a variant it doesn't name. If yours isn't listed, send us a plug photo.
- Everest vs Ranger: each has its own product page, even where the plug matches. Pick the one for your vehicle.
- Removal: it unplugs, so you can take it out before sale or service.
Outside Australia
The Ranger is built in Thailand and South Africa and sold across South-East Asia, New Zealand, the Middle East and beyond. The PX names are an Australian and NZ habit; elsewhere you'll see "T6 Ranger" or just the model year. NZ Rangers are generally close to Australian spec. Gulf-market Rangers and Everests are left-hand drive, so the pedal assembly may differ. Check the plug carefully, and if you're unsure, email a plug photo to admin@roar4x4.com before you order. We ship tracked to New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the UAE, and international shipping is calculated at checkout.

FAQ
Do all Rangers use the same plug?
Every Ranger and Everest band listed here shows plug 715 on its product page. Plugs can still vary by market, so confirm yours against the photo.
Is a PX3 different from a PX2?
They look similar, but the PX3 is the 2018–2022 update. Go by your build date to pick the right page.
Will it help when towing a caravan?
Many owners find that a sharper mode makes the Ranger respond sooner when they set off, merge or climb with a van. It doesn't add pulling power or change towing capacity.
Does it work on the V6 Next-Gen?
The Next-Gen product page covers the Next-Gen Ranger and doesn't exclude any engines. Check the compatibility table on the page and match your plug.
Will it affect my Ford warranty?
The unit doesn't modify the ECU and can be unplugged. Warranty decisions are up to the manufacturer, so ask your dealer if you're unsure.
